Yard Man is built by a company called MTD, which was founded in 1932 in Cleveland, Ohio. Through hard work and dedication with an emphasis on customer service, MTD quickly grew throughout the decades to become an impressive company which eventually offered lawn equipment. In 1958 MTD produced its first lawnmower.
Today, MTD is a leading, global manufacturer of outdoor equipment for both commercial and consumer needs. The MTD group of brands includes Cub Cadet, Troy-Bilt, Yard-Man, Yard Machines, Bolens, McCulloch and White Outdoor. Farms and commercial use have been using these brands for years and consumers have been enjoying the ride-on mowers for the past decade or so.
Yard-Man has a motto which states, “Get it done” and “Go have fun”. They live by that motto because once they are finished doing all the lawn maintenance for the NASCAR tracks, which they are sponsoring, they can sit back and enjoy the races. The smaller model DX70 of Yard Man is fine for a woman to drive on small gardens, but it is tricky to manoeuvre on sloped yards. They can collect up to 90L of grass clippings and are easily emptied at the rear if that is an option you require.
The 28” swathe can really work for most small gardens up to one-half acre. The comfortable seat is spring balanced for the driver’s comfort and the ride is great on flat surfaces. The larger models are built with the same excellence in sturdy construction and craftsmanship, with the ability to mow larger gardens and full yards.
